The Education Committee for the Mayor's Commission is a diverse group of brilliant minds from around the world. It includes city, state, and national government leaders, business leaders, and experts in education reform.


The Education Steering Committee sets the tone and communicates the grand vision of the Education Committee for the Mayor's Commission. This committee approves changes in timelines, reviews and challenges recommendations, provides input, makes decisions, and presents suggested statutory changes to legislative bodies.

The Stakeholder Advisory Council acts as a conduit to stakeholder groups (parents, grandparents, teachers, principals, etc.) for their ideas and reactions. They are key in strengthening relationships with and commitment to these stakeholder groups. Also, this council contributes ideas, insight, and information, ensures that resources are available, and removes roadblocks as necessary.
